World Cup - Results

On May 25-28, 2006, 200 of the worldメs most elite foosball players competed for the first ITSF World Cup title.

In the famed Fischauktionshalle (the old fish market) in Hamburg, the tournament took place on five different official styles of tables: Bonzini, EuroSoccer, Garlando, Roberto Sport and Tornado.

The qualification rounds took place over the first 2 days.

Competition was fierce right from the beginning, as each team wanted to secure a place in the elimination phase.

16 teams went on to the playoffs, providing exciting shows for spectators and media.

In the finals, Austria defeated Germany, while Belgium beat France in the match for 3rd place; so the 3 winners of this first World Cup are:

1. AUSTRIA

2. GERMANY

3. BELGIUM

Congratulations to the winners!
