World Cup ball auctioned on ebay

The 1st Table Soccer World Cup that took place in Hamburg in May 2006 was a great event.

In what some players see as the "match of the century", the quarter final France - USA, emotions and the technical skills of the players made for high drama. The match took the audience on an emotional thrill ride of joy and disappointment as victory seemed imminent for one team and then the other and back again, with a highly dramatic final 13:11 in overtime that sealed the French victory.

The Tornado ball from the overtime was auctioned on ebay and the 220 euro proceeds were donated to the ITSF Development Fund, whose purpose is to develop table soccer in countries with little financial resources as well as financially support humanitarian and environmental projects worldwide.

Thank you to all bidders and congratulations to the Billardcafe Eightball in Sulzbach, Germany, where the historical ball will decorate the new table soccer area.
