World Champ. Series France - Results

The first World Championship Series event in the 2006 ITSF Tour took place in Eaubonne, France, on April 28 ヨ May 1.



574 players competed in the tournament; 177 of them came from abroad, representing 14 countries: Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Great-Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland, the USA.

A delegation of Basque players also attended the event, as well as 6 players from La Reunion.




There will be 4 more World Championship Series tournaments this year, taking place in Belgium, Austria, the USA and Italy.



During these tournaments players are awarded important points towards the ITSF World Rankings and the first 3 Open Singles winners of each event are automatically qualified for the World Championships, as well as the winner of the Womenメs Singles competition.



We are pleased to announce that the three qualified male players are:

3. Nicolas BELLIOT




And the winner of the Womenメs Singles is:




1. Estelle JACQUOT






In the National Teamsメ Competition, the best players of each country competed in a series of Singles and Doubles matches. France retained its 2005 title after winning against Denmark in the finals, while Belgium won against Germany for the 3rd place.
