Wild Cards for ITSF regular members

New this year at the World Championships: ITSF Regular Member federations benefit from special Wild Cards to have a second Men's Doubles and second Women's Doubles representing their country.

ITSF Associate and Provisional Members are not entitled to these Wild Cards.

The names of these players will have to be announced by national federations by September 30th, 2007 – no late submission will be accepted after that date.

There will be no travel package for these players.

Each Regular Member federation will have to set up clear sporting rules for determining which teams will get the Wild Cards. For example, the Wild Card could go to:

- the 2nd best team in the national championships

- or the national federation's best ranked team in the ITSF Rankings

- or its best national player and his/her doubles partner

- etc.

These rules will have to be made clear to all the members within each federation.

They will also have to be forwarded to ITSF.
