Weifang - new table soccer base in China

There is a revolution fast brewing in China. Weifang has become the first city named by the Sport Administrative Bureau of China as the Table Soccer Base City. In the 3 months of its development, over 70 leagues and 700 players have grown fond of the game, and they play everyday on close to 100 Fireball tables in schools, and government offices. Weifang has been a site for International Kite Flying for many years. It boosts great history and deep traditions.

Table soccer is new and but wide regarded as a new fashion dawning on the city. To add to the excitement, the 2010 China Championships will be held in Weifang on May20-22 to welcome over 200 players to compete in the biggest event ever in China.
Such promotion model will be spread to other cities after the tournament. New cities and provinces are being considered for the expansion.

It is awesome to watch hundreds of new players getting it on in a large hall or on a basketball court. Civilian spectators are just as excited to feel young again cheering them on.
