Table soccer development in Africa

After visits to South Africa and Cameroon in February, ITSF President Farid Lounas is presently in Morocco, where he will meet with delegates of the Moroccan table soccer federation and table distributors of ITSF partner manufacturers.

As the practice of table soccer is rapidly growing in Africa, several countries have been asking for advice and support in order to develop existing federations or create new ones.

During his visit in Cameroon, Mr Lounas provided such advice as he met with officials and players in Yaounde and Douala.

In South Africa, talks focused on the development of table soccer in Africa and on the organization of large international tournaments.

The first of these is scheduled to take place this summer.

Details of the tournament are as follows:

African Open

International

Johannesburg, South Africa

August 18-20, 2006
