Our project Table Soccer at School (TSAS) has been selected and co-funded by the European Commission Erasmus+ Program!
We’re thrilled to announce that our project Table Soccer at School (TSAS) has been selected and co-funded by the European Commission Erasmus+ Program!
Led by the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF), TSAS brings together Athletes Inspire Children (Germany), University Camilo José Cela (Madrid), and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce to champion physical activity and sports integration in primary schools. This innovative project focuses on children from disadvantaged neighborhoods and aims to combat youth inactivity using table soccer as a powerful tool for social inclusion.
What is TSAS?
TSAS will use table soccer to break down barriers, foster diversity, and support educational outcomes through sport. Starting with research and inspiration from other successful initiatives across Europe, we’ll develop and model an inclusive “table soccer at school” program. In the first phase, we’ll conduct pilot tests in 12 schools across France, Germany, Bulgaria, and Spain, equipping teachers with training and resources to lead these activities.
What’s Next?
After the pilot phase, we’ll assess the program's impact on students and schools through comprehensive qualitative and quantitative evaluation. A training kit with videos, table soccer rules, and data collection methods will be produced to support a broader European rollout, empowering ITSF members to take the program to the next level.
Future Vision: Beyond primary schools, we’re exploring expanding TSAS to hospitals, retirement homes, and universities, promoting well-being and inclusion across communities.
Stay tuned for the study report presentation by first 2026 semester, where we’ll share insights, success stories, and plans for the future of TSAS.
