Korea's first ever ITSF tournament - the Seoul Open Pro Tour - took place last weekend at Campus Seoul in the heart of Seoul's Gangnam district. The marvellous venue is sponsored by Google Korea for newly-established businesses and Korea Table Soccer Federation is a member start-up.

Hong Kong's William Leung and Vincent Mok took first place in Open and Pro Doubles; William Leung also won Open Singles, with Shanghai's Johan Hannerstal in 2nd and top Chinese player Steven Shan Zuo Dong in third. Pro Singles was won by Seoul's own Taha Karim, beating Johan, William and Steven in turn with his effective killer style.

More than 20 rookies competed in their first tournament. Rookie Singles was won by Nico Graff; Rookie Doubles winners were Chung Han and pride of Burkina Faso, Jean Bosco Ouango Wendrata.

Overseas visitors came from China, Hong Kong, Canada and as far as Finland, and from within Korea, as well as from Seoul, people travelled from Daejeon, Gwangju, Busan.

Foosball is new to Korea, but we are confident that it is only a matter of time before the game starts to become popular amongst Koreans, as has been the case in other Asian countries such as Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan etc.

The Korea Table Soccer Federation would like to thank everyone involved for their support. We are already thinking about what next year's event will look like!
