EC members' work abroad

As the practice of table soccer is rapidly growing everywhere, several countries have been asking for advice and support in order to develop existing federations, create new ones, organize tournaments...

Major ITSF tournaments also provide opportunities for members of various ITSF commissions to get together and work on specific issues.

In this context, some members of the ITSF Executive Committee will soon be travelling to 4 different continents:

- Klaus Gottesleben, ITSF second vice-president, will be in Sofia, Bulgaria, June 23-27, where he is expected to meet with delegates of the Bulgarian Table Soccer Federation, media and representatives of a Bulgarian sports agency, in order to provide advice and better understand the specific situation and needs of the Bulgarian federation.

- Joe Ueno, ITSF delegate for Asia, will go to Malaysia, July 20-25, where he will meet with delegates of various table soccer associations/federations and encourage them to work together to create a strong national federation.

- Farid Lounas, ITSF President, will attend the African Open in Johannesburg, South Africa, August 18-20.

This second tournament in the International tournament category is the first ITSF tournament to take place on the African continent.

During the event, preparations will start for the next Table Soccer World Cup, which will take place in Johannesburg in 2010.

Other meetings are being scheduled during the event as members of the ITSF Commission managing the new ITSF Development Fund will discuss the first actions to be taken with the Fund's revenue.

Mr Lounas will also go to the World Championship Series tournament taking place in Las Vegas, USA, September 21-24, where he will be attending a meeting of the Rules Commission.
He has also scheduled various meetings focusing on ITSF's communication tools - photos; DVDs; radio; newspaper; TV; Internet - with various media agencies and individuals.
