Bonzini World Ch. Series - Results

The first World Championship Series event in the 2007 ITSF Tour took place in Eaubonne, France, on May 17-20.



Close to 600 players competed in the tournament, representing 15 countries: Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Great-Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and the USA.





There will be 4 more World Championship Series tournaments this year, taking place on the following dates:



- Tecball WCS (in Borgloon, Belgium) - May 25-27

- Roberto WCS (in Giubiasco, Switzerland) - July 13-15

- Garlando WCS (in Tulln, Austria) - July 18-22

- Tornado WCS (Las Vegas, Nevada, USA) - September 26-30




During these tournaments players are awarded major points towards the ITSF World Rankings and the first 3 Open Singles winners of each event are automatically qualified for the World Championships, as well as the winner of the Women’s Singles and the winner of the Junior's Singles competitions.



We are pleased to announce that the three qualified male players are:

3. Sébastien ZAPATER (FR)





The winner of the Women’s Singles is:




1. Anaïs NOEL (FR)





And the winner of the Junior’s Singles is:




1. Miguel DOS SANTOS (FR)







In the National Teams’ Competition, the best players of each country competed in a series of Singles and Doubles matches. France retained its 2006 title after winning against Belgium in the finals, while the Netherlands won against Germany for the 3rd place.
