Advancing Table Soccer in Japan: Meetings for Social Impact and Accessibility
Important meetings were recently held in Japan to promote table soccer with a focus on social impact and accessibility, with the support of the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF).
JFA - JTSF - ITSF Meeting
The Japan Table Soccer Federation (JTSF) and ITSF met Mr Naoto Takano, from the Japanese Football Association (JFA), to discuss initiatives aimed at integrating table soccer into schools and families, with an emphasis on sustainability. This partnership will leverage ITSF’s resources and expertise to maximize the sport’s social impact.
Paranet - JTSF - ITSF Meeting
Mr Yutaka Hirayama and Mr Takumi Shiba from Paranet, along with JTSF and ITSF representatives, focused on making table soccer accessible to people with disabilities. Their objective is to connect JTSF to key stakeholders and leverage ITSF’s network to create inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in the sport.
JTSF’s Strategic Planning for the Next Six Months
During their discussions, JTSF and ITSF established clear steps for the upcoming six months, with ITSF providing support through its sport, legal, and federation commissions. The CORAL initiative will soon be introduced to further assist in the development of the federation and expand the reach of table soccer in Japan.
Engagement with Japanese Players for the 2025 World Cup
In addition, the stay allowed to meet Japanese players attending the upcoming World Cup in Zaragoza in 2025. This event will provide a unique opportunity to connect with Japan's top table soccer players, showcase the country’s talent on the international stage, and build enthusiasm for table soccer in Japan.
